The sad events of Saturday 27th October show that fans of all clubs and of none can unite when tragedy strikes.

We heard the shocking news in the morning that Glenn Hoddle took ill in the BT Sport studio and is still in hospital recovering from a heart attack.

In the afternoon Brighton and Hove Albion FC announced that a life long supporter was taken ill in the stands before their premier league match against Wolves. He sadly died at hospital.

In the early evening, after Leicester's home game againsrt West Ham United, the Leicester Chairman's private helicopter crashed shortly after take off. It is believed that the Chairman, Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was on board. It's not yet know who else, apart from the pilot was on board.

Condolences and best wishes have been expressed by fans of football from across the globe. Our thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of all those involved in the tragic events of yesterday.
