The draw for the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup took place in Paris at the weekend. it was brilliantly hosted by former Lioness Alex Scott.
The draw threw up some interesting games, not least the first game for England, against Scotland. What a way for Shelley Kerr's Scotland to open their first ever appearance at a World Cup.
Group games start with the hosts France playing Korea Republic in Paris on 7th June 2019.
Group A- France, Korea Republic, Norway, Nigeria
Group B- Germany, China PR, Spain, South Africa
Group C- Australia, Italy, Brazil, Jamaica
Group D- England, Scotland, Argentina, Japan
Group E- Canada, Cameroon, New Zealand, Netherlands
Group F- USA, Thailand, Chile, Sweden
The top 2 teams from each group plus the four best 3rd place finishers will progress to the knockout stages.
The final will be held on 7th July 2019.
