Manchester United have announced the signing of Paul Pogba in a world-record transfer from Juventus.
The 23-year-old has signed a five-year contract with the option of a sixth season after United agreed to pay the Serie A champions £89m.
That sums eclipses the £85m Real Madrid paid Tottenham for Gareth Bale in 2013 in the previous highest transfer fee.
Juventus revealed United could owe them a further £4.25m in add-ons if certain targets are reached during the course of Pogba's contract.
"I am delighted to re-join United," the France international said. "It has always been a club with a special place in my heart and I am really looking forward to working with Jose Mourinho.”
Pogba left United for Juventus four years ago for £800,000. He matured during his time in Turin, winning four Serie A titles, two Coppa Italia’s and the Italian Super Cup twice.
